Call for Abstracts

We warmly invite participants to submit abstracts for presentation at the 2nd International Summer School of Medical Law named after Dr. Stefan Poździoch, taking place in Kraków, June 30th – July 3rd 2026.

We welcome contributions from a broad range of disciplines, including legal scholars, practitioners, health professionals, ethicists, and policymakers. Submissions from young researchers and early career professionals are especially encouraged.

Abstracts should address one or more of the Summer School’s Main Topics of Lectures and Discussions:

• – legal and ethical aspects of medical professions,
• – patient rights in the European Union,
• – civil and criminal liability of medical professionals,
• – the right to human dignity during the treatment process,
• – protection of human rights against war crimes and torture,
• – standards of education in medical law, public health law, and ethics in medical professions,
• – patient safety,
• – legal aspects of trade in medicines and medical devices

We are equally open to practical perspectives, case studies, and innovative approaches to teaching and regulation in medical law.

Participation conditions and requirements:

The Participant is obliged to pay the conference participation fee according to the following price list:

• Standard registration: 1300 PLN (300 EUR)
• Standard registration for young scholars: 800 PLN (180 EUR)

The registration closes at midnight on June 15th 2025 (CET).

The fee includes: a conference bag, lunches and coffee breaks, dinner, and conference materials.
Accommodation and travel costs must be covered individually by each participant.
